Personality profiling and psychological testing is not new, however, is often misunderstood or not used to its full potential, making it a costly and sometimes irrelevant exercise. To be truly relevant and beneficial any personality profiling should be undertaken by qualified practitioners. We have certified Myers Briggs, DISC and FIRO-B practitioners who can take your team through their personality type, which we can then use to further enhance team training and leadership programs.
Myers Briggs
What is Myers Briggs? Myers Briggs is a personality profiling tool founded in the work of Carl Jung’s theory on psychological types and based on the work of Isabel Briggs Myers. Myers dream was to bring this insight to all across the globe, celebrating through understanding that people have significant differences in how we perceive the world and evaluate this world. This tool has been available for more than 70 years and is still undertaken by over 2 million people each year, worldwide.
There is no right or wrong Myer’s Briggs type, and it is based on our preferences, giving us clear insight as to our predispositions and enabling positive language and psychology around these differences. With 16 profiles, you will gain insight into who you are, how you work best and how you relate to others.
Your Myers Briggs Type Indicator is relevant in all aspects of life and this assessment will form the launchpad for development and growth opportunities, both individually and for the team as a greater whole. A Targeted Training certified practitioner will assist each team member in how to understand and use these results.
Use this tool for: Building self-awareness personally and professionally. This tool provides great insight for leaders to further develop within themselves and for the strengthening of teams due to shared understanding of strengths, differences, and how to best work with each person.
DISC
What is DISC? DISC provides you with a behavioural style across four main personality profiles – Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness. A well known tool, this assessment is completed by over 1 million people each year.
Use this tool to: Further develop your self-awareness and unlock your leadership potential
FIRO-B
Have you ever wondered why you communicate in the way that you do? What your interpersonal communication needs are, what you style is compared to others? What if we told you we can show you why you hear phrases such as ‘he/she is a micro manager’ or why some team members appear disengaged? The FIRO-B is an awesome tool to assist you in answering these questions and more. Use with a team, a partnership or any other relationship to provide a clear outline of what your interpersonal needs are in comparison to others. Within hours, you will determine communication pressure points and areas of potential conflict. These learnings often take months or even years to find and when you do it is through team conflict, disengagement, high turnover, complaints and grievances all leading to lowered productivity. The FIRO-B tool assists in breaking through these barriers and equipping both your team and organisational leaders with the knowledge to communicate positively and proactively with everyone.
Your practitioner will map the interpersonal communication needs as well as the interpersonal communication demonstrated, to provide you with the road map for more positive interactions and solid workplace relationships.
Use this tool for: Any team, partnership or individual will benefit from learning how each member communicates and wants to be communicated with. This tool is particularly useful for new teams or teams in crisis.
Like anything, our muscle strength is in ongoing training and practice. To realise a higher return on investment, post assessments we would recommend the organisation focuses on continual dialogue and encouragement of type discussions, clear actions items, reflective questioning, and a training strategy to continue building understanding on an ongoing basis.
